The German DEAL consortium has signed its first agreement with the publisher Wiley on Open Access publishing. A new kind of ‘publish and read’ agreement allows members of the consortium, consisting of more than 700 German academic institutions, to publish all their articles as Open Access and to gain access to all Wiley journals for a yearly fee payed by the consortium.
