The lecture "Cancer immunotherapy by PD-1 blockade" will be held by Professor Dr. Tasuku Honjo (Kyoto University).

Tasuku Honjo received numerous awards and honours for his pioneering work, including the Robert Koch Prize (2012) for his work on molecular immunology and medicine. In 2013 he was awarded the Order of Culture by the Japanese Government. In 2014, Tasuku Honjo received the Tang Prize in Biopharmaceutical Science as well as the William B. Coley Award. Currently he is Professor at the Department of Immunology and Genomic Medicine at Kyoto University and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Shizuoka Prefectural University Corporation, Japan.
