We are pleased to invite you to the first “Health-a-thon” in Germany, which will be hosted by BIH and Charité and will take place on November 25th & 26th, 2019 in Berlin.
The Health-a-thon provides an innovative implementation and testing environment to enable the adoption of standards-based interoperability to HL7 Standards by vendors and users of healthcare information systems.
We invite you to start the Health-a-thon on November 25th at an evening event together with participants of the Medical Informatics Initiative of the BMBF. Interesting keynote speakers and great networking opportunities await you in one of the city's most historical locations - the Hörsaalruine at the Charité.
On the next day, together we will work out efficient ways to export data from wearables to FHIR. Therefore we ask you to bring your own HL7 FHIR compliant data (e.g. data export from your Apple Watch) to the event. Please be aware that the second day will take place at a different location in Berlin (Haus Zwingli, Rudolfstraße 14, 10245 Berlin).
The event is open to anyone interested in improving the standardization of health data, however a basic understanding of the HL7 FHIR specifications is a necessary condition for participation. You can prepare yourself with this tutorial or get to know FHIR even better by taking a look at its specification.
Participation is free of charge. Please bring your own notebook with you and note that the course will be held in English.
We would like to ask you to register by November 18, 2019. If you are unable to attend, we would be happy to welcome a colleague of yours.
