German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure Service, Training, Cooperations & Cloud Computing

The central mission of the de.NBI network is to provide and continuously develop bioinformatics services and software solutions for basic and applied life sciences research and to establish standards for data storage, analysis, management and exchange. We are part of the service center HD-HuB (Heidelberg Center for Human Bioinformatics) focusing on human genetics, genomics and metagenomics, systematic phenotyping of human cells, epigenetics and the de.NBI Cloud location Heidelberg/Berlin.

de.NBI Cloud, the largest non-commercial cloud in Germany, provides compute and storage capacity free of charge for academic users. Large data sets, bioinformatic tools and preconfigured analysis pipelines are available to the large Life Sciences community. The Cloud Center Berlin/Heidelberg is led by Christian Lawerenz.
