With this funding scheme, the QUEST Center aimed to foster replication of biomedical research. At the same time, we aimed to explore the feasibility and practicability of replications and establish best practices of conducting replications. Within this call, the QUEST Center funds two projects with a total funding budget of 130k+ Euro until the end of 2018.

Both projects aim to replicate experimental findings that are highly relevant for the translational process.

Project 1:

Lithium to prevent paclitaxel-induced neurotoxicity (LIPPIN) - a replication study.

Principal Investigator:
PD Dr. Wolfgang Böhmerle
Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin
Klinik für Neurologie mit experimenteller Neurologie

Project 2:

Replication of a diagnostic tool to measure beta amyloid in plasma as a marker for cognitive impairment

Principal Investigator:
Professor Dr. med. Tobias Pischon, MPH
Max-Delbrück-Centrum für Molekulare Medizin in der Helmholtz Gemeinschaft (MDC)
Molecular Epidemiology Research Group
