To be a voting nominee of the BCRT SC the candidate has to fulfill one of the following criteria:

  • Research group leader at the BCRT
  • Research group leader with an additional external group, who is (in part) directly funded by the BCRT

To be a non-voting /advisory nominee of the BCRT SC the candidate has to fulfill the following criterion:

  • Junior group leaders or leaders of Technology Development Units

Election procedure

The BCRT steering committee is comprised of seven voting members (including at least three women) as well as three non-voting members (including at least one woman) (Figure 1). As the non-voting member Andrea Sass has left the SC in March 2020 and Petra Reinke will resign as voting member and deputy speaker of the SC, it is required to find competent successors for these two members.

The successors are elected by majority of votes by the faculty members for the remaining period of the current term (2021-2022).

The BCRT steering committee voting members elect among themselves their speaker and deputy speaker. Additional sub-committees might be nominated by the BCRT steering committee.

  • You can either vote for the nominated candidate or abstain from voting

  • You can either vote for the nominated candidate or abstain from voting
