Research
Local Control of Thyroid Hormone Action (CRC/TR 296 LOCOTACT)
DFG funded Collaborative Research Centre / Transregio 296
Project: Establishment and provision of human pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)-derived 2D and 3D cellular models of brain, liver and heart and technologies for their analysis
The aim of the Z-Project of CUSCO is to makethe highly specialised methods, ranging from generation of hiPSC-derived differentiated cells and organoids to analysis by single cell sequencing and high content imaging followed by bioinformatics analysis, available to the projects of the CRC.
EC3R
Einstein Center 3R (EC3R)
3D tissue culture models as an alternative to animal testing
Project: Modelling cross-body organ dysfunction using human brain organoids to investigate neurodegenerative diseases
Athena
Assays for the identification of Thyroid Hormone axis (ATHENA)
Funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme
Assays for the identification of Thyroid Hormone axis - disrupting chemicals: Elaborating Novel Assessment strategies (ATHENA) is a project funded by the European Commission under a call for improving test methods for the detection of chemicals that can disrupt the normal functioning of hormone systems, called endocrine disruptors.
Project: Developing human 2D and 3D models of the brain to investigate cell death in the brain
Internal R&D projects
Project: In-depth characterization of hiPSC derived pre-clinical in vitro models to increase reproducibility for translational research
Aim: Development of a data and analysis portal for characterization of hiPSC-derived models established in the CUSCO
Project: Development of an in vitro platform for functional vascularization of tissues and organoids
