DIGITAL ELECTION OF THE STEERING COMMITTEE OF THE BIH CENTER FOR REGENERATIVE THERAPIES (BCRT) for the period 2021 - 2022
The BIH Center for Regenerative Therapies (BCRT) invites all members of the scientific faculty to participate in the online election of the steering committee. The voting period is September 22nd – 28th, 2020.
To be a voting nominee of the BCRT SC the candidate has to fulfill the following criterion:
- (prospective) professorship at the BCRT
To be a non-voting nominee of the BCRT SC the candidate has to fulfill the following criteria:
- (junior) group leader or TDU leader at the BCRT with third party funds allocated to the BCRT or
- (junior) group leader or TDU leader at the BCRT and active working scientifically and has published own results in the recent past
The nominees will introduce themselves and their future plans for the BCRT online and at the BCRT Retreat (https://bcrt-retreat.charite.de/) on September 28th 2020.
Election procedure
The new BCRT steering committee will be comprised of seven voting members (including at least three women, who receive the most votes) as well as three non-voting members (including at least one woman, who receives the most votes) (Figure 1).
Steering committee members are elected by majority vote of the faculty members for a two-year term 2021-2022.
The new BCRT voting steering committee members elect among themselves their speakers. Additional sub-committees might be nominated by the BCRT steering committee.
Rules for election of voting members:
- One vote per candidate, only
- Up to three candidates per research field
- Assignment of seven votes in total is mandatory
Please note that an equitable distribution of votes among fields and gender is highly recommended

All members of the BCRT scientific faculty have received an invitation and a token via e-mail for taking part in the online election.
