Requirements: The dual study is conducted in German. This means your knowledge of German must be at the appropriate level (C1 level). Additionally, you need a University Entrance Qualification - a recognized secondary school diploma (e.g. Abitur, A-levels, or an equivalent qualification).

Structure of dual study
Content
Medical informatics focuses on processing, optimizing, archiving, and analyzing medical data. The goal is to improve healthcare effectiveness. The study provides foundational knowledge in computer science and medical methodologies, preparing students to develop tools for data analysis, image and signal processing, and the use of mobile sensors.
Theory and Practical Phases
The dual study programme usually starts on September 1st, at the beginning of the winter semester. The programme lasts 8 semesters, with each semester divided into blocks: a 15-week theory phase is followed by a 3-week examination period and a 7- to 10-week practical phase at the company.
The dual study "Medical Informatics B.Sc." is highly practice-oriented. Students will complete practical components such as practical phases, project work, and their Bachelor thesis at the company under suitable conditions. We offer solid training in an international environment with excellent guidance from experienced professionals.
