Cooperation Activities at Berlin Institute of Health

Cooperative activities are an essential element for successful work at Berlin Institute of Health – they are in a sense inscribed in BIH as a research institute that was jointly founded by several institutions. Alongside forms of cooperation internal to the institute, as parent universities the Freie Universität Berlin (FU) and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU) are partners in both training programs and advising early-career clinicians and scientists.

Above that, the BIH cooperates with non-university institutions in the Berlin area, for instance with the Leibniz-Institut für Molekulare Pharmakologie (FMP) that hosts the BIH Chemical Biology Platform.

A further important partner is the Charité Foundation. It is in charge of the granting of funds provided by the Private Excellence Initiative. In this context, BIH also cooperates with the Einstein Foundation Berlin.
