On June 14, 2017, the first graduates of the BIH (Junior) Clinician Scientist Program were awarded a certificate of their successful completion of the program. Together with the Berlin Chamber of Physicians and the executive board of the Charité - Universitätsmedizin and the BIH, the graduates were duly celebrated. Prof. Alastair Buchain from the University of Oxford (UK) gave a keynote speech.
On March 16, 2017, the Einstein BIH Visiting Fellow, Brian Kobilka, gave a lecture on the function of G-protein-coupled receptors. In the next three years the professor for Molecular and Cellular Physiology and Medicine at the Stanford University will conduct his research in Berlin and will be building a new laboratory at the BIH together with his Berlin colleague Professor Peter Hildebrand.
"Why does Marie look so pale?" was the motto of this year’s BIH Girls‘ Day 2016 on 28 April. The Girls‘ Day (and Boys‘ Day) is a project supported by the German Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. It promotes strengths and potentials of young people in order to help them in their future career choices.
