Starting in 2023, BIH will reward the unrestricted availability of raw data in publications (open data) in addition to other indicator-based funding (IOM). Open access to the raw data of published results is an essential part of transparent and reproducible science.
A new project funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation programme will develop a framework to improve the reproducibility of scientific research.
The BIH research groups "Medical Informatics" and "Meta-Research and Automated Screening" are participating in the European MSCA (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action) doctoral network "SHARE-CTD", which was selected for funding in March 2023.
Martin Haslberger from the BIH QUEST Center for Responsible Research and his co-authors received the Research Award 2023 of the Working Group of Medical Ethics Committees (AKEK). The award ceremony took place on June 15, 2023 and was combined with a lecture at the 23rd Summer Meeting of the AKEK.
In order to make health research more needs-oriented, it is important to actively involve patients in the research process.
