Grantcraft: the art of writing a sucessful grant proposal

Workshop Contents and Goals

An effective grant proposal persuades.  The proposal is how you convince the funding organization that what you want to do is a subject that they find interesting, that you intend do something important with their money, and that you are able to succeed.  Success rests heavily on planning, knowing specifics of your experiment plans, and a respectful and polite attitude toward your colleagues, the reviewers, and funding officials.

This workshop covers the steps that should be taken to successfully write a grant. Participants will be given the opportunity to submit an abstract in advance to  Professor Mason for comment during the session. Further details will be communicated after the formal confirmation of participation.
