BIH Investment Fund
Stiftung Charité opens the first call for the BIH Investment Fund. Applications can be submitted until 20 January 2015.
Forward-looking investments in the fields of research and patient care at the Berliner Institut für Gesundheitsforschung | Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) can be supported by Stiftung Charité through funds from the Private Excellence Initiative of Ms Johanna Quandt in the context of the BIH Investment Fund. Construction projects or the procurement of large-scale equipment that cannot or cannot fully be paid with the means of the parties involved or third-party funding and that are of strategic importance to the BIH are eligible for funding. Projects that are of use for more than one lab, institute or clinic are preferred. A total of up to 3 million EUR is at the disposal of the BIH Investment Fund, and it is to be spent in two funding rounds; the volume applied for should not be lower than 100,000 EUR and should not be in excess of 1,000,000 EUR.
Directors of an institution (institute, clinic, research center, Forschungsschwerpunkt, core facility) at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin as well as the scientific directorate, senior group leaders and core facilities leaders at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) are entitled to apply.
