The QUEST Center conducts projects in various areas such as Open Science, Stakeholder Engagement, Incentives & Indicators, and Quality Assurance. We are developing new approaches in design, analysis and reporting in biomedical, both preclinical and clinical research to improve research. In the scope of COMPASS, we have developed a modular self-evaluation tool on responsible research practices.     Organospecific Stratification in Covid-19 is part of the Forschungsnetzwerk "Nationale Universitätsmedizin". Among others, it deals with standards for organ models.

    6R in Organ Model Research

    Advanced in vitro models have strong potential to complement or substitute animal experiments and improve translational research. We collaborate with organ model researchers to develop and implement measures towards robust organ models and enhance their broad acceptance via 6R strategies.

    A qualitative study on the basis of expert interviews

    In response to what has been called the “reproducibility crisis”, institutions and granting agencies have begun to implement changes in how biomedical research activity is rewarded and funded. The aim of the project was to gain a better understanding of how different stakeholders view these ongoing reforms.

    This project assesses how outcomes of registered clinical trials are changed over the course of the trial, and how these changes are reported.

    BRAVO examines the extent to which Germany's medical faculties consider and promote various aspects of quality of biomedical research.

    BUA Open Science Dashboards

    The project aims to include FAIR criteria in the Charité Metrics Dashboard and co-develop prototype open science dashboards for other research fields.

    Qualitative interview study as part of a collaborative project (BMBF) on reputational risks faced by healthcare providers when sharing patient data for secondary use.
