One focus of the QUEST Center is to promote the involvement of patients and other stakeholders in the planning, implementation and evaluation of research projects. To this end, we conduct research projects in order to better understand what high-quality stakeholder engagement can look like. To date, patients and other stakeholders have rarely been actively involved in research projects in Germany. We want to bring together various relevant stakeholders in order to strengthen and further develop stakeholder engagement in health research. In addition, we offer project-specific consulting services for those who wish to involve stakeholders in their specific research projects. Moreover, we are planning training and workshop series for those interested in the BIH research area.

What is Stakeholder Engagement?
By stakeholder engagement in health research, we mean the active involvement of patients and other stakeholders in the research process. This does not include the inclusion of participants in studies, but rather that the research process is co-designed with the stakeholders.
