Integration Hub

The Integration Hub is an innovative test environment which is part of the Digital Medicine Platform. Within the Integration Hub, digital health applications can be tested within a standards-based interoperable infrastructure. Currently, data from IOS wearables and smartphones are being imported into a SMART-ON-FHIR environment, communicated and made available for evaluation. The focus for IOS data is currently mainly on the ECG from the Applewatch. The ECG data is transferred to FHIR by a specifically developed APP and uploaded to a FHIR server. There are also plans to explore other data sources, such as data from the national medication plan.

Further development of this platform should facilitate the integration of interoperable solutions into existing workflows without disrupting routine operations, and allow researchers and clinicians to interact with the platform while learning about international standards.
