QUEST Grant für Patient & Stakeholder Engagement

The BIH QUEST Grant for Patient & Stakeholder Engagement was first published in 2021. With this call, we want to foster the active engagement of patients and other stakeholders (e.g., relatives) especially in the planning phase (e.g., protocol development) of a study. Four projects from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin were selected for funding: 

• PAFORSE: Patient:innengetriebene Forschung für Seltene Erkrankungen (PAFORSE: Patient-driven research for Rare Diseases) (project lead: Dr. Josef Schepers, BIH@Charité, Core Unit E-Health & Interoperability)
• “Nothing about us without us”: Gründung eines Patient Think Tanks mit #dedoc° an der Charité (“Nothing about us without us”: Establishing a Patient Think Tank with #dedoc° at Charité) (project lead: Dr. Katarina Braune, Department of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology)
• Entwicklung eines partizipativen Forschungsprogramms für ein gesundes Altwerden in der Großstadt (Developing a participatory research programme for healthy ageing in the city) (project lead: Prof. Dr. Wolfram Herrmann, Institute of General Practice and Family Medicine)
• Translationale Studie – welchen Einfluss hat chronischer Stress auf die sexuelle Funktion von Frauen*? (FEMstress) (Translational study – what impact does chronic stress have on the sexual function of women*? [FEMstress]) (project lead: Dr. Laura Hatzler, Institute of Sexology and Sexual Medicine)

The projects started in July and were successfully completed by the end of 2021.
