Dr. Michelle Scott, Covance

The process of Due Diligence is hard and takes a long time. However, there are ways to be well prepared and properly equipped for it. Usually, the due diligence process for translational research takes place when licensing agreements, contracting or cooperations of any sort are planned. Both sides take the time to understand their potential partners, their goals and intentions, as well as their assets, in detail. Often, the information is not equally distributed or the assets and results may not be as expected.

Knowledge about the process of due diligence between pharma and biotech startups or universities is very important, so that everyone engaged in translational research can make use of it for successfully reaching their goals and come up with solutions ready to reach the patients.

This entrepreneurial forum addresses the process of Due diligence: Michelle Scott from Covance, London, has profound experience in performing due diligence processes and advising teams of any size on how best to prepare for them. During the first session, Michelle Scott will talk about the due diligence process in general, on how to best prepare and perform. In the second session, we will experience such a process through an interactive real life case that Michelle has prepared, in which she will guide us through the process, highlighting pitfalls and possibilities. We hope that you will be able to join us for this new interactive format.
