In November 2023, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin, the Berlin Institute of Health Sciences and Enterprise Singapore, the Singapore government agency championing enterprise development, with the aim of strengthening international collaboration and translational research. Building on this Memorandum of Understanding, a program has been implemented to develop, test and pilot pioneering technologies, products, services and wearables at Charité with the support of BIH. Providing streamlined access to Charité patients, researchers and data are part of this program and serve to jointly address issues of high medical need and ultimately improve patient care. In other words, this collaboration is aimed at further realizing the BIH mission 'From Research to Health'.

Enterprise Singapore is the Singapore government agency championing enterprise development. It also supports the growth of Singapore as a hub for global trading and startups, and attracts global commodities traders to establish their global or Asian home base in Singapore. Enterprise Singapore also builds trust in Singapore’s products and services through quality and standards. With a global network in over 37 locations spanning many developed and emerging markets, Enterprise Singapore connects businesses with relevant Singapore companies for their business expansion.

This collaborative project is about combining clinical expertise from Charité and BIH with the innovative entrepreneurial spirit from Singapore to implement advances in digital and mobile medicine into clinical practice through translational research. As part of this process, clinical researchers who are interested in collaborating with a Singaporean startup and conducting clinical research projects are sought.
