Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Enterprise Singapore jointly launched an innovation program in 2023, which has now resulted in the first call for funding in March 2024. The overarching goal of this partnership between BIH and Enterprise Singapore is to create a sustainable innovation program. Under the program, innovative start-ups from Singapore will have the opportunity to work with suitable clinical or research partners at Charité/BIH for projects such as clinical validation and certification projects as well as co-development projects.

Eligible Singapore companies can apply for grant support from Enterprise Singapore and gain access to the resources and expertise of Charité. After successful matching with a clinician or researcher at Charite, the joint project design phase begins. If the project evaluation is positive, a funding commitment from Enterprise Singapore is followed by the conclusion of a contract between the start-ups and the partners they have found at Charité/BIH. The entire process up to the signing of the contract is supported by the CBI/CSC.

This exciting collaboration paves the way for innovative research and development projects that will make a significant contribution to medical innovation.

Singapore companies can express their interest for the programme till 01.04.2024. From April to September 2024, Charité/BIH researchers can now plan a cooperation project with a startup or company in order to jointly apply for funding from Enterprise Singapore.
