Leveraging Competitive Landscape Analysis in Translational and Early-Stage Biopharma

This lecture explores how competitive landscape analysis supports strategic decision-making in translational and early-stage biopharma projects. We will discuss why competitive landscape matters from different dimensions (including unmet needs, differentiation, R&D hurdles, commercial…). Participants will be given practical recommendations when it comes to tools and methodologies while recognizing data limitations and common pitfalls. We will review how to apply these insights to guide Go/No-Go and BD&L decisions. The lecture will also emphasize best practices and lessons learned from CGT projects, underscoring landscaping as a dynamic, ongoing process essential for shaping robust translational strategies.
