Before departure

Before you end your stay in Berlin after ending your employment in Germany, there are some important organizational and legal aspects to consider, especially if you are in possession of a residence permit. These include, among other things, the proper deregistration with the registration office, the clarification of your residence permit and its validity, the information of the competent authorities (e.g. the foreigners' registration office), the termination or termination of current contracts (apartment, insurance, bank account, telephone, etc.) and, if necessary, social security and tax law issues.
