The application journey
How to become a CLIC Start-UP
What team partnerships we offer

Resident Teams
Resident Teams are fully embedded on-site at the Rahel Hirsch Center, with dedicated laboratory and/or office space tailored to their needs. Operating within the CLIC environment, these teams benefit from direct access to shared infrastructure and resources, enabling close collaboration, seamless integration into the ecosystem, and optimal conditions for day-to-day research and development activities.

Member Teams
Member Teams become part of the CLIC ecosystem through tailored consulting services, program formats, translational support, and access to the ecosystem, without the need for permanent laboratory or office space. This flexible model enables early-stage engagement well before infrastructure requirements arise, while keeping the door open to a seamless transition into future on-site residency as needs evolve.
CLIC supports promising translational projects through a structured and competitive selection process
Applications are reviewed by a multidisciplinary Selection Committee, comprising the incubator’s management as well as experts from industry, venture capital, entrepreneurship, and clinical or scientific research. Decisions are made collectively, with defined quorum rules and full transparency regarding potential conflicts of interest. All submissions are carefully screened and evaluated based on the following
Selection Criteria
- scientific excellence
- team strength
- IP position
- funding status
- business potential
- alignment with the incubator’s mission and resources
Final Review
Selected projects receive a structured recommendation and are reviewed by the Directorate for final decision. Successful applicants are then invited to an in-depth discussion with the CLIC team to explore next steps and potential support pathways.
