Clinician Scientist Programs
Until now, support for early-career researchers—both in Germany and worldwide—has focused primarily on funding projects. The Biomedical Innovation Academy (BIA), however, takes a different approach: It supports individual researchers and thus contributes specifically to the development of academic personnel in biomedicine. With its comprehensive clinician-scientist funding programs for research-oriented physicians, the BIA is training a new generation of biomedical researchers.
