About the Speaker

Dr. Cherilyn Sirois is currently a scientific editor at the journal Cell. She began her career as a laboratory research scientist, obtaining a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from University of Massachusetts Medical School in the United States, and completing postdoctoral work at the Centers for Therapeutic Innovation at Pfizer in Boston. A teacher at heart, Sirois was a professor of immunology and microbiology at the Universidad de Las Americas in Quito, Ecuador, and at Springfield College in Massachusetts, USA, prior to joining the editorial staff of Cell Press in 2018. She is currently based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
