On 28 February 2020 Prof. Christof von Kalle, BIH Chair for Clinical Translational Sciences and Director of the BIH-Charité Clinical Study Center, will give a lecture on the subject "Translating Data into Health: Clinical Translational Research in the Digital Age" as part of the BIH Lecture Series "Frontiers in Translational Medicine - Scientific and Structural Challenges".

Our greatly improved understanding of human disease at the molecular level promises better treatments in clinical practice. However, clinical reality is is often still rooted in the 20th century. How can we accelerate the clinical translation of novel discoveries into today's reality, and which role can digital tools really play? Christof von Kalle will talk about the opportunities of real world change management from the perspective of a scientist who has formed academic, public and commercial organizations.

The lecture will take place at 12 noon in the Hans Virchow-Hörsaal, Philippstr. 12 at the Campus Mitte.
