Lecturer: Dr. Nico Riedel (Berlin Institute of Health)

Openly shared research data are becoming more common. However, there is not yet a standardised way of reporting Open Data in publications, making it difficult to find shared datasets. We developed the text-mining algorithm ODDPub that screens biomedical publications to find data sharing statements. In this talk I will speak about ODDPub and how we used it to distribute performance oriented funding for publications with Open Data at the Charité and the Max Delbrück Center.
