On 11 March 2016 the German Stem Cell Network (GSCN) together with German research institutes, among them the MDC, and universities at seven locations in Germany initiates an European activity day for Stem Cell Research in Germany,the UniStem Day. The event is aimed at students from schools and universities to give information on stem cell research. More than 1200 students are expected to participate in Germany.
