Stakeholder Engagement
Patient & Stakeholder Engagement
Patient & Stakeholder Engagement (PSE) in health research means the active involvement of patients and other relevant stakeholders in the research process. This does not refer to participation of patients as subjects in studies or trials, but it is about engaging stakeholders and designing the research process together with them. This approach is not yet very well established in Germany, but is going to be increasingly more demanded by funding agencies.
For this reason, the QUEST Center supports researchers at Charité and BIH in planning and implementing patient engagement activities in their research projects, for example by providing consultation services, trainings and funding measures.
