Program and call for proposals
The aim of the current call (start 01.03.2024) at Enterprise Singapore is to shape our partnership through transnational project work. New technologies and medical innovations from Singapore companies are to be further developed together with Charité and BIH researchers so that they can be made available to patients in Germany and around the world. Companies can express their interest for the programme (by 01.04.2024) and if matched with a clinician/researcher, to then scope a joint project together. Selected projects will know about the funding decision from Enterprise Singapore by October 2024, and therefore gain access to the resources and expertise of Charité and BIH. The aim is to establish a collaboration with a Charité/BIH researcher.
Charité and BIH are available as potential cooperation partners for the start-ups from Singapore and offer the highest quality for piloting, testing, adapting and optimizing new medical technologies and services.
1 - Conditions of participation
The cooperation is aimed at researchers at Charité/BIH who are interested in collaborating on a research project with a startup from Singapore. This is explicitly not a collaboration between working groups but a collaboration with a company from Singapore that meets the criteria of a startup.
The companies that are available for cooperation will be announced on this website at the beginning of April 2024.
If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Hana Hastor (Project Coordination, Clinical Study Center, Charité - BIH).
2 - Application and selection process
Researchers from Charité / BIH can participate in the program. This includes principal investigators, postdocs and graduates. Each application must be signed by a research group leader who is an employee of Charité/BIH. The CSC and CBI are looking for researchers who are interested in collaborating with an startup from Singapore. The list of available cooperation partners will be published on this page in April 2024. The CSC/CBI can assist in making contact, provide information and support in preparing the application.
3 - Formal criteria
Applicants must have a license to practice medicine or an equivalent scientific qualification. Teams can apply. Additional funding by third parties for the same project is not possible. At least one applicant must be an employee of Charité/BIH.
