Protocol Development for Systematic Review of Animal Studies
Description
This workshop will cover the contents of a transparent and comprehensive preclinical systematic review protocol. It will cover the rationale behind registering your systematic review protocol and where to register. This workshop is aimed at researchers who already have an understanding of systematic reviews of animal data (e.g. from having attended the Introduction to Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis of Animal Data or similar experience).
To get the most out of the workshop, participants are encouraged to bring a systematic review protocol with them to work on. You will be asked to submit your systematic review question ahead of time.
Content
At the end of the workshop...
- participants will understand the components of a clear and transparent systematic review protocol.
- participants will know where to pre-register their protocol, including commonly used registries (PROSPERO, OSF) as well as publishing a protocol.
- participants will make improvements to their protocol via bespoke methodological support and peer-to-peer feedback.
- participants will have the tools to finalise their SR protocol independently, and have a near-to ready protocol for registering.
