Discover the Harmony Between Mind, Body, and Environment through Care, Connection and Community!
Feeling isolated, pressured, or constantly rushing in your research journey?
Feeling isolated, pressured, or constantly rushing in your research journey?
Competition, and constant demands are part of academic life, but for many researchers, they lead to stress, struggle, loneliness, and risks to mental health and well-being. EcoSomatics responds by creating a shared space within the BIH community where these experiences are acknowledged collectively. Through evidence-based knowledge, embodied and creative practices, and a culture of care, EcoSomatics supports sustainable well-being—because mental health in academia is not an individual issue, but a collective responsibility.
Target group:
The workshop invites all early career researchers at BIH. Knowing, that experiences of discrimination and being a minority in academia, we would especially encourage those who self-identify as members of marginalized groups in the field of science to participate. This includes first-generation
students, trans*, inter* or non-binary colleagues, students from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, women, students with dis_abilities, and those with other marginalized identities not explicitly mentioned here.
