COReS-DECIDE | Systematic Review Community Workshop
This two-day workshop aims at strengthening the systematic review community across Germany through sharing lessons learned, as well as identifying synergies and possible opportunities to collaborate. (In English)
Course description
For two days, the COReS and DECIDE teams are inviting researchers from across Germany who are conducting or planning to conduct systematic reviews to join them in Berlin at the QUEST Center.
The event aims to strengthen the research community by sharing lessons learned and best practices for conducting systematic reviews, while also identifying synergies and potential opportunities for collaboration. The second day will feature an educational workshop on systematic reviews.
About COReS:
COReS (Communities for Open Research Synthesis), a project of CAMARADES (Collaborative Approach to Meta-Analysis and Review of Animal Data from Experimental Studies), aims to improve the translation of biomedical research by enhancing how preclinical evidence from animal studies is used. By focusing on integrating systematic reviews and meta-analyses into the research process, COReS wants to ensure that findings in animal models are effectively translated to human health outcomes. Through education, infrastructure development and community-building, COReS supports better decision-making and fosters collaboration in preclinical and translational research.
About DECIDE:
The DECIDE (Decision-Enabling Confirmation of Innovative Discoveries and exploratory Evidence) project aims to improve translation from preclinical findings through the support of multi-laboratory confirmatory projects. Support is provided through counselling, workshops and meta-research which aim to improve practices in preclinical trials.
After finishing the first phase of DECIDE, DECIDE - Phase II aims to identify success factors and to develop a best practice guideline for confirmatory studies from a meta-research perspective.
Target audience
This workshop is aimed at researchers engaged in or planning to engage in systematic review projects at all career stages (PI, Postdoc, PhD students) that were either funded by the German Federal Institute for Education and Research (BMBF; 1st call, 2nd call), or through other sources.
