BIH Multiplex Services Utilizing Luminex‘ MAGPIX System and Merck’s Milliplex Assay Panels
Single-analyte protein detection methods such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) or western blotting have been used to sequentially analyze multiple intracellular and extracellular proteins. Although these are both validated, well-established techniques, they can be time-consuming, sample-depleting, and costly when used to measure numerous markers per sample. The MagPix system, combined with the Milliplex magnetic bead-based multi-analyte panels, provides a complete smaller scale solution for rapid and accurate biomarker quantification. Multiple proteins can be measured in a single reaction and therefore the system is simple, cost-effective and reproducible.
The virtual seminar hosted by the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) Metabolomics Platform and Merck will inform about the MagPix system and the available products. In addition, confirmed speakers from the Max-Delbrück-Center (MDC) and the Charité - Universitätsmedizin will show, how such data can be implemented in biological results.
