OPEN MERIT: QUEST MERIT App open

Background

OPEN MERIT is a digitalization project of institutional research assessments. The QUEST MERIT App Open is the prototype application that supports academic organizations in providing structured, quality-oriented and fair research assessments for hiring senior scientific staff and appointments. The QUEST MERIT App Open can be adapted for different institutional requirements. The idea for the QUEST MERIT App Open derives from the results of the MERIT project.

Objectives

The aim of QUEST MERIT App Open is to translate relevant (inter-)national recommendations on responsible research and innovation (RRI), Open Science, and principles of good evaluation into institutional practice. The tool addresses the applicants, the management offices and the reviewers (user groups).

Methodology

The software development team consists of a multidisciplinary team of experts on research assessment, data scientist, as well as programmer.

Expected results / Implications / Perspectives

Production-ready open source version of the QUEST MERIT App as a prototype software as service.
