René Hägerling, head of the Department of Lymphovascular Medicine and Translational 3D Histopathology at BIH, and Fellow of the BIH Charité Clinician Scientist Program, was elected as the new president of the German Society of Lymphology by the society's members at its 45th annual meeting in Hanau. Dr. Dr. Hägerling succeeds Dr. Anya Miller, who had led the German Society of Lymphology as president for six years. In his new position, Dr. Hägerling intends to bring lymphology more into the focus of university medicine and also to inspire and attract young medical professionals to the exciting field of lymphology with new ideas and concepts.
