Resilient through your doctorate: Managing stress in the doctoral journey
Pursuing a doctorate is an exciting journey, but it often comes with significant challenges: time pressure, high expectations, and uncertainty shape the daily routine. This training is designed to help participants become more aware of these everyday stressors and develop strategies to manage them in a healthy and resilient way.
The focus is not only on theoretical knowledge but also on practical exercises, reflection, and interaction with other participants.
- Identifying Stressors: Recognizing stress and pressure early in the doctorate journey
- Activating Mental Resources: Strategies to consciously harness inner strength
- Building Resilience: Strengthening psychological resistance for long-term coping
- Practical Exercises: Applying stress management strategies in everyday situations
- Reflection & Perspective-Taking: Questioning personal thought patterns and exploring new viewpoints
- Exchange & Networking: Sharing experiences and learning from the perspectives of other participants
The workshop is primarily aimed at BIH doctoral students, especially those participating in the BIH PhD program. However, other Charité doctoral students are welcome to register if places are still available. You can register here.
Please note that the workshop will be canceled on March 19 for financial reasons if there are not enough participants. If you know in advance that you will not be able to attend despite registering, please let us know.
