Many scientists aim to translate their basic research findings into clinical applications and various important aspects of the initial phase of translation have already been addressed in earlier BIH Lectures. If the basic research is done in a sound way and all data is qualified, what are the other challenges you should consider early on?
In the upcoming BIH Lecture on 27 March 2020 Prof. Georg N. Duda, Director of the Julius Wolff Institute for Biomechanics and Musculoskeletal Regeneration at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Co-Speaker of the BIH Center for Regenerative Therapies (BCRT), will discuss – using his own examples from the field of regenerative medicine and med tech - lessons learned the hard way: Where translation appeared to be easy but turned out to be challenging or where efforts were planned to allow a smooth transition but sudden unexpected developments occurred.
Please note:
Due to the current situation regarding the immediate measures to contain the corona virus, this BIH Lecture will be held as an online lecture via GoToMeeting. To participate in the lecture, please register here.
