The QUEST Center conducts projects in various areas.

The unique feature of our projects is their practical and translational focus: we seek to test new approaches in design, analysis and reporting in biomedical research, both preclinical and clinical, to improve translation of research results into clinical care.

The projects are, among others, identified and evaluated by so-called "meta-research", i.e. research on research. The focus of our projects lies on Open Science, Stakeholder Engagement, Incentives & Indicators as well as Quality Assurance (see filter below).

    6R in Organ Model Research

    Advanced in vitro models have strong potential to complement or substitute animal experiments and improve translational research. We collaborate with organ model researchers to develop and implement measures towards robust organ models and enhance their broad acceptance via 6R strategies.

    The CARDS project aims to develop and expand tools, services, and training offered to researchers of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) on the topic of research data management (RDM).

    With the Monitoring & Evaluation System COMPASS, BIH QUEST Center establishes a complex impact-oriented program evaluation. COMPASS aims at aligning QUEST programmes and activities with the requirements of Charité researchers on the one hand and the goals of the strategy Charité2030 on the other.

    Through the COReS network we aim to integrate preclinical systematic review into the research pipeline through a three-pillar approach comprising education, infrastructure and community-building.

    The DECIDE project aims to improve translation from preclinical findings through the support of multi-laboratory confirmatory projects. Support is provided through counselling, workshops and meta-research which aim to improve practices in preclinical trials.

    GUIDE ME

    This projects wants to revise and extend the German-written book "Recommendations for the review of clinical trials through ethics committees", originally covering legal, medical, ethical and biometrical aspects of clinical studies reviewed by medical ethics committees, now additionally intended to guide applicants.
