The "Responsible Algorithms" research group operates at the intersection of Trustworthy AI and meta-research. It focuses on the analysis, development, and implementation of strategies to enhance the robustness and transparency of AI applications. In particular, the group explores methods for assessing and improving AI systems, with the goal of creating trustworthy and ethically accountable AI solutions.

Another key focus of the research group is the implementation of Responsible Research Practices (RRP) in the field of artificial intelligence. The group emphasizes sustainable and responsible research approaches to ensure that the development and deployment of AI are ethically and scientifically sound.

A special emphasis of the group lies in translating this research into practical services. The working group supports Charité researchers in the responsible development of their own AI projects.

"Responsible Algorithms" aims to advance the use of AI in healthcare, specifically, by promoting the responsible translation of algorithms into clinical practice, ultimately improving patient outcomes.

We also support projects dedicated to AI in education, with a particular emphasis on developing AI literacy and integrating AI tools into educational practices.
