The QUEST Center conducts projects in various areas.

The unique feature of our projects is their practical and translational focus: we seek to test new approaches in design, analysis and reporting in biomedical research, both preclinical and clinical, to improve translation of research results into clinical care.

The projects are, among others, identified and evaluated by so-called "meta-research", i.e. research on research. The focus of our projects lies on Open Science, Stakeholder Engagement, Incentives & Indicators as well as Quality Assurance (see filter below).

    The so-called QUEST criteria relate to quality, ethics, open science and translation of biomedical research at BIH. The goal is to map the robustness, reproducibility and confirmability of research projects and hence to best possible stimulate the existing potential for innovation (in German).

    The MERIT App Charité project is a software implementation project. It describes the adaptations and implementation of the prototype QUEST MERIT App Open to the local requirements at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

    OPEN MERIT is an open-source software development project. The QUEST MERIT App Open is the prototype application that supports academic organizations in providing structured, quality-oriented and fair research assessments for hiring senior scientific staff and appointments.

    Open Data LoM and Open Data IOM

    The introduction of Open Data in the institutional performance-based funding (Leistungsorientierte Mittelvergabe, LoM) at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and of the indicator-based funding (Indikator-orienterte Mittelvergabe, IOM) at the Berlin Institute of Health.

  • Incentives & Indicators Closed

    PURE

    The aim is to create a comprehensive and continuously updated publication body of publications from the Charité and BIH.
