BCRT Lecture: Stimuli-Responsive Biomaterials

John Hardy (Lancaster University, UK)

Host: Taimoor Qazi

Dr. John Hardy is an Assistant Professor of Materials Chemistry at Lancaster University. Dr. Hardy’s multidisciplinary research interests span the development of biomaterials for applications in drug delivery, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine. He has considerable experience in utilizing natural materials such as spider silk, and advanced synthetic materials such as electrically conducting polymers, for modulating cell behavior towards tissue regeneration. His group’s current projects include developing stimuli (electricity, light, magnetism) responsive materials for chronotherapeutic drug delivery.
