Miriam Merad will be our guest and will share insights from her career journey.

Miriam Merad M.D., Ph.D. is the Director of the Precision Immunology Institute at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and of the Mount Sinai Human Immune Monitoring Center (HIMC).

Miriam Merad’s research focuses on immune cells, particularly dendritic cells and resident macrophages, and their roles in pathogenesis of cancer progression and inflammatory disease with hope to develop possible therapeutic.

With more than 200 primary papers and thousands of citations, Dr Merad’s work has been acknowledged by National Institute of Health and American Society of Clinical Investigation. She has received the William B. Coley Award for Distinguished Research in Basic and Tumour Immunology. She is the President-elect of the International Union of Immunological Societies and was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in recognition of her contributions to the field of immunology.
