hiPSC Biobank & Provision
The core provides users access to quality-controlled pluripotent stem cells. This ranges from reference hiPSC lines from healthy donors that are available cryopreserved and ready ‘in-culture’. In addition to the reference lines, users can request frozen vials of non-standard lines.
All lines are registered in hPSCreg and robustly validated and quality controlled. The lines were generated form healthy donor samples and produce high differentiation efficiencies in the number of various protocols. For the full portfolio of cell lines see tables below.
Reference hiPSC lines (healthy donor)
The reference lines are available to all researchers at BIH, Charité and MDC. Cells can be requested via openIRIS.
All external users are required to execute a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) with us.

Allen cell lines
The Allen Cell Catalog contains high quality, certified fluorescently tagged hiPSC lines that target key cellular structures and substructures.
CUSCO has filed an MTA that permits all researchers at BIH, Charité and MDC to work with the hiPSC lines of the Allen Cell Catalog provided through the core.
